Transport Policy
JMC Roof Depot offers Nationwide delivery (Free delivery on selective items) to United Kingdom postcodes excluding the Highlands, UK Islands and Ireland where additional shipping charges will apply.
Prior to shipment, we’ll let you know of our estimated date of delivery. Don’t worry if you have made other plans or find this inconvenient. If you can let us know a day in advance, we’ll work with you to find a better alternative.
Any delivery charges are included in the final shopping basket and are dependent on the products selected for purchase. This charge is based on delivery to mainland UK, excluding the Scottish Highlands & the Islands Please note that not all products will incur an additional delivery charge to the Scottish Highlands & the Islands – this is based on the costs from the manufacturer, distributor or courier providing shipping on our behalf. If your delivery address is in the Scottish Highlands and Islands, a member of our team will contact you prior to processing your order should an additional delivery charge apply. Alternatively, please contact us for further information.
While we make every effort to ensure orders are delivered by the date required, we cannot guarantee availability from the manufacturer or the manufacturer’s delivery schedules.
Any variation to the delivery date given will be advised to you by email or telephone. If we are unable to make delivery because access is not possible, we reserve the right to make a failed delivery charge.
All our delivery charges are based on the customer being available to accept the goods. This includes, on heavier items, the ability or willingness to manually offload the goods, or having mechanical offloading facilities available (such as a forklift truck). Crane-off or tail-lift facilities may be available on certain orders at an additional cost.
Please note that any order received after midday on a Friday (along with any order received over a weekend) will be processed on a Monday. All our estimated delivery times are therefore based on a 5-day working week so please bear this in mind when ordering.
JMC Roof Depot utilises national carriers and national pallet distribution networks as well as manufacturers own transport.
Restricted Access
If you want delivery to anywhere other than to the mainland UK with unrestricted access, please contact us on 01283 218069 or send an email to sales@jmcroofdepot.co.uk before you attempt to place your order. Shipping from the UK mainland would depend on the type of product ordered and the geographic location. This type of order would probably command an additional carriage charge.
We reserve the right to refuse to make a delivery if you have not informed us prior to delivery of any access restrictions.
We consider restricted access to be if our drivers encounter double yellow lines, a red route, narrow lanes, steep hills, low bridges, or width restricted roads. Please send an email to sales@jmcroofdepot.co.uk to discuss delivery if you do not have unrestricted access.
Multiple Deliveries
As a result, some of the goods you order may come to you direct from source resulting in your order consisting of more than one part.
Depending on stock availability, some orders may be split into more than one delivery, so you are not kept waiting for those items immediately available. You will be notified each time a part of your order has been dispatched so that you can keep track of your items.
If we become aware of stock difficulties, which will affect delivery timescales, we will let you know by telephone or e mail.

Accepting Your Delivery
Please check your goods thoroughly before signing for them. If any part of your delivery is damaged or faulty please contact us by telephone on 01283 218069 or send an email to sales@jmcroofdepot.co.uk
Do not accept damaged products. Orders signed for “unchecked” will be deemed to have been received in good condition. As soon as the order has been delivered to your requested delivery address, the risk of any damage or loss passes to you.
At JMC Roof Depot, we believe that adding carriage to our orders is a bit of a ‘Nasty Surprise’. Therefore all our prices include the delivery cost (unless stated otherwise) to keep the cost down for the customer.
In an ongoing effort to reduce our carbon footprint we constantly review our transport arrangements to see that they optimise the delivery process, by ensuring that your goods reach you having done the least possible road miles.
